I find wearing long sleeve UBF-rated clothing works best. They are designed to be lightweight, wick sweat, and keep the sun off. Hat and sunglasses +/- sun buff are also good ideas. I've found aquamira to have little to no taste and work very well. I always carry it in addition to my filter since it's light enough and I've needed double filtration a few times.
